This is happening since a long long time, but players dont care. The graphic quality of this game right now is pathetic, because 80% of the animated effects are broken, animations are totally way off, and a huge etc. Some ability effects are showing in the incorrect way or not showing at all, because of the same problem.Īlso, like everything else, you keep adding things without optimizing em, or polishing the code, and of course things get worst. The undine battlezone has been broken this way since 2 years ago. This have been happening since 5 years ago, but agravating. Also, weapon effects from your ship dissapearing, torps dissapearing, another symptom. Because the game engine doesnt have resources to show those animations. Nowadays, you can go to battlezones (in the undine battlezone is really noticeable), and every single animated effect there is static. and we will reach a point where the game is so broken that finally people will realize they are playing a total broken game lol. It means, that things keep breaking everywhere around. Originally posted by Someperson22:What do you mean by the game engine can't handle much more? Will the game just break in the future because they have to delete so many things? Its ok, their incomes are never going to be affected anyways. Or they just remove things (like the sun cycles on Risa) because its too much work for em to make things right and they prefer to just remove it. They continously remove things to make room for others.

Instead of making new content, they only re-use what they already have in-game.Īlso, the game engine cant handle much more. The same rule applies to other things, like ship interiors, more battlezones missing for some reps, planets with amazing atmosphere abandoned that could be used to make amazing content, and basically everything.

A new faction will never threat their incomes, probably the opposite. Its more like they are already getting rich with the things they already have, so working in something else is. The additional species also get very little use by the playerbase according to the stats, but on the flip side it requires much less work to create them. I think the best you can hope for is playable Cardassians in Starfleet as a cash shop option.

The lone klingon is just there to collect free stuff when they offer it for each faction. I'd delete my Starfleet-allied Romulans too, but I like them too much and have too much invested in them. There's no chance there's ever going to be much added for the other factions, it wouldn't make financial sense. I deleted all but one of my klingons and klingon-allied romulans once I saw the stats, and replaced them with farmer characters for Starfleet. Everything they add to the game that isn't geared towards the Starfleet faction (over 75% of the playerbase) is substantially limited in its income-generating potential. I enjoyed it, but it's the least played faction according to the stats, and I would expect a Cardassian/Gamma Quadrant faction to be even less popular. My best guess is the work-to-reward ratio of the Romulan expansion didn't work out economically.
